Backstory

This Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge edition is the ultimate luxury sedan. Retailing at over $350,000, there isn’t anything more you could wish for in a car. The 600hp Twin-Turbo V12 engine, rear suicide doors and Starlight Headliner only begin to explain why this vehicle is so incredible. This example came in the Black Badge option which includes 21” Carbon Fiber Wheels and several trim pieces finished in a lustrous Gloss Black.

The owner of this car has been a long time client. He is the owner of a very successful online gaming app, playoneup.com. He came to us and asked us to put together a design for the Ghost that would allow him to promote his App. We put together several renderings using different black textures with the unique Tiffany Blue from his company’s branding. When Ross finished the rendering design with the Camo, he knew it was the one! The reveal of the rendering to the client left him speechless, so it was time to get to work!

Process

Because we are creating this car for corporate promotion, the Play One Up Logos and Slogans had to be created and plotted to be able to build the texture vinyl areas and final logos on the exterior. We used over 100 3” logos that were aligned on several of the surfaces to create a flowing pattern. Once they were properly laid out, we wrapped the top half of the vehicle in Satin Black which combined with the logos, gives the appearance of embossed leather.

The camo was a custom hand cut design which was cut and installed exclusively by our owner, Ross. He wanted to create a variation of an arctic camo that included the gorgeous OEM color of Stone Grey (aka, Nardo Grey) and then also little hints of the Tiffany Blue that still worked together with the styling and elegance worthy of a Rolls Royce.

After the camo was completed, we explored several options for exterior logos to offer the right look for promotion without overdoing it. We finalized a gloss black roof logo, front and rear windshield logos in Matte Black and a couple of multi-color logos on each bumper. Lastly the entire vehicle was treated with a durable sealant to keep the vinyl protected and make cleaning super easy.

This car won’t be a secret for too much longer, the owner will begin using the vehicle for promotions on YouTube, Instagram and other sources in conjunction with several top-tier social media influencers. We expect that people the world over will get to see this customized Rolls Royce!
